Lorenzo Caffarri
Co-Founder – Director
Prior to launching ubiCabs, Lorenzo was Head of IT at the French logistics division of Carrefour, the world’s second largest retailer. There he implemented cutting-edge technology to optimize the supply chain from the source to the point of delivery, benefiting consumers and suppliers alike. Having led a series of advanced process improvements at Carrefour, while studying for his MBA at London Business School Lorenzo was inspired to start ubiCabs to transform passenger transport in the same way.
Jay Patel
Co-Founder – Commercial Director
Before starting ubiCabs, Jay ran Google’s process optimisation for AdSense, mobile and distribution deals throughout EMEA. He began his career with IBM, for whom he worked on strategy, marketing, CRM and process reengineering projects. While completing an MSc at the University of Pennsylvania, Jay initiated a venture to provide mobile location services to customers, significantly ahead of the market. He has a BSc from the University of Illinois and achieved his MBA from London Business School before launching ubiCabs.
Prem Sharma
Co-Founder – CTO
Prem cut his teeth in technology at Computer Science Corporation before heading up the technology consulting department at Fizzback, a start-up specialising in customer management that has recently been acquired for $80m by Nice Systems. Prem has extensive experience in building complex technology solutions and managing global teams. No stranger to long shifts in the office, Prem’s frustration with getting home after the tube closed made joining Jay and Lorenzo in ubiCabs an easy decision. Prem holds Information Systems and Project Management degrees from the LSE and Stanford University.
James Bamford
Business Development Manager
James was a mover and shaker at Multimap back in the day. He devved the biz there, and now, released from cryogenic freezing for the new minellium, he’s devving the biz at ubiCabs. James’ experience in launching into new geographical markets and growing start-ups from embryo to endgame is an ace up ubiCabs’ sleeve.
Marc Bromhall
Service Partner Manager
Marc is a member of ubiCabs service partner team. A well oiled machine, they frequently practise cooperation in such synergic activities as sculling, tandem bike riding and flaming knife throwing. Marc is committed to achieving customer happiness through quality relationships between all suppliers. Marc’s a prolific blogger and tweeter, and once used social media to harass a crisp company into compensating him with a free box for a substandard packet of cheese and onion.
Natalie Masse Hooper
Android Developer
Natalie is the Argus to our Android Argo. Who’s Jason? We don’t know, that metaphor was ages ago. Anyway, Natalie heads up our Android app, scheming, coding, building, bettering. Natalie aims to cement ubiCabs place atop the pile of taxi apps by focusing on ease of use, enjoyment and achieving core purpose.
Sébastien ROUIF
Business and marketing Analyst
Sebastien previously worked on transportation innovation for Peugeot Citroen in Silicon Valley. He joined ubiCabs to help us understand our customer and improve our product.
James Thimont
iPhone Developer
In various past lives a Cambridge MA, an investment banker and the commander of Harold Godwinson’s bodyguard at Hastings, James brings a wealth of experience to ubiCabs app development. Entirely self-taught, James’ keenly analytical perspective inspires the continuous improvement of ubiCabs’ ‘best in class’ app.

Francesco Zanin
Service Partner Manager
Francesco brings outstanding partnership management to U.B.I. Cabs through tireless perambulation and being extraordinarily personable. The greatest flyerer in the world, Francesco shares the belief that outstanding relationships within the company, and with service partners, creates an outstanding customer experience. Francesco recruited ubiCabs’ reigning Employee of the Month, Grappa the Rabbit. Grappa has a Facebook account and tweets as @eastendrabbit.
